Zovo MT940 Converter
MT940 and camt.053 bank statements to Excel and CSV, with a balance check.
Zovo MT940 Converter turns MT940 bank statement files (.sta, .mt940, .txt) and ISO 20022 camt.053 XML statements into an Excel workbook and a CSV you can open, filter and import. Each transaction gets its booking date, value date, signed amount, debit and credit columns, running balance, counterparty, description and references. It then checks each statement: opening balance plus credits minus debits must equal the closing balance, to the cent, and the difference is shown when it does not.
What it does
- MT940 (SWIFT, with or without {1:}{2:}{4:} envelopes) and camt.053, camt.052 and camt.054 XML
- Several statements and accounts in one file, each with its own balance check
- Exact amounts in the currency's minor units (JPY 0 decimals, KWD 3)
- German :86: subfields (?20 to ?29, ?32 name) and Dutch /NAME/ /REMI/ fields read into counterparty and description
- Excel with a Transactions sheet (dates as dates, amounts as numbers) and a Balance check sheet, plus CSV
- Reversals, pending entries and unreadable lines kept and flagged
